Artist Collab Series

Each year, we tap the region's thriving arts community to help us bring some new brews to life by way of our Artist Collaboration Series – an annually-rotating lineup of small-batch brews that are both inspired by, and adorned with, original works of art.

Released monthly, our Artist Collaboration beers are what we'd call a win/win situation – a well-deserved spotlight on some super-talented independent artists, and interesting beer styles for our brewers to make & for you to drink. Boom.

FAQ

  • The submission period for our 2025 Limited Artist Collaboration Series is open!

    Submission deadline: September 1, 2024
    Selections announced: October 1, 2024

Check out the next tab for details on how to submit your work!

  • The Call for Art usually goes out in late summer for the following year’s Artist Collaboration Series, with submissions usually due by the middle of September. We recommend following our Facebook & Instagram pages for announcements. Not into the whole social media thing? Put a reminder in your calendar to drop a line in early August to see what’s up. If you’re not into calendars, then, well, just follow your heart.

The submission period is open! Submissions (and questions) may be sent by email to springhousebeer.art@gmail.com with the following info:

    • Name
    • Phone Number
    • City / State
    • Attach up to 5 original pieces (.jpg and .pdf preferred)

  • We won't say that submissions need to be 2-dimensional, but, like, the goal is to have your work featured on one of our cans, so the ability to be printed on a label is a major plus. (Unless you know of a way to stream video content on a can label, in which case WE ARE LISTENING.)

Since launching the Artist Collaboration Series in 2020, we’ve proudly featured a wide variety of amazing art from amateur and professional artists alike – paintings, fabric art, illustrations, sculpture, graffiti, computer-based drawings, photography.

  • Hell yeah we pay the artists! We even make sure that contributing artists retain the rights to their works.

Yes, we benefit from having some killer imagery on our labels, but we also do our damnedest to shine the spotlight on these amazingly talented independent artists through promoting them on our website/social media, hosting kickoff events & art showings at the brewery, and, with any luck, driving more work their way via our customers. It’s a beautiful thing.

  • Every year, we get asked if we know the styles of beer that we will be making for the series. The answer is yes, but, we’re not sharing them! We understand that knowing the beer style in advance might help inspire your work in some way, but that’s not what we’re up to here. Instead, our goal is for you to simply submit dope work & let us take on the challenge of matching them up with our beers. You know, #collaboration.

  • Our esteemed panel of judges is composed of various members of the Spring House family. So if you’re just looking to figure out who you should bribe in the selection process, the answer is either “nobody” or “everybody.” Your pick. (But seriously – just submit your best work, and if you’re not selected, we’d love to see your art again down the line.)
